These terms
This store is operated by Megan & Sophie, registered as [legal company name], [street address, postal code, city], Netherlands, Chamber of Commerce number [KvK number], VAT number [VAT number]. Throughout these terms “we” and “us” means Megan & Sophie, and “you” means the person visiting the store or placing an order.
By browsing this store or placing an order you accept these terms, together with our Privacy Policy, Shipping Policy and Returns & Refunds Policy, which form part of the same agreement. If you do not agree with them, please do not use the store.
Using the store
You must be at least 18 years old, or have permission from a parent or guardian, to place an order. You agree to give accurate contact and delivery details and to keep any account credentials to yourself.
We may refuse or cancel an order where we suspect fraud, where a product was listed in error, or where an order appears to be placed for resale rather than personal use.
Products & availability
We photograph and describe our products as carefully as we can. Colours and textures can still appear differently from one screen to another, and small variations are part of the character of the materials we work with rather than a fault.
All items are subject to availability. If something you ordered turns out to be unavailable, we will contact you and refund that item in full.
Prices & payment
- Prices are shown in the currency displayed at checkout and include VAT where it applies.
- Shipping is calculated at checkout, so the total you approve is the total you pay us.
- Import duties and taxes on international orders are set by your local authorities and are payable by the recipient.
- Payment is taken at the moment you place the order, through the methods offered at checkout.
We may change prices at any time, but never for an order we have already accepted. Where a price or product detail is obviously wrong, we may cancel the order and refund you in full rather than fulfil it at that price.
Orders & contract
Placing an order is an offer to buy. The contract between us comes into being when we send you an order confirmation by email; an automatic message that only acknowledges receipt is not yet an acceptance.
Please check your confirmation as soon as it arrives. If anything is wrong, email us straight away — we can usually still correct an order while it is being packed.
Delivery
We aim to hand your parcel to the carrier within one to two business days, and all delivery times quoted in the store are estimates rather than guarantees. Risk in the goods passes to you on delivery.

Withdrawal & returns
As a consumer in the EU you have fourteen days from the day you receive your order to withdraw from the purchase without giving a reason, and a further fourteen days to send the goods back. Items should come back unused and in their original condition and packaging.
The right of withdrawal does not apply to goods made to your specification, personalised items, or products sealed for hygiene reasons once unsealed. Unless a return is due to a fault on our side, the cost of return shipping is yours.

Faulty items
Everything we sell must match its description and be of satisfactory quality. If an item arrives damaged or develops a fault that is not down to normal wear, contact us with your order number and photographs and we will repair, replace or refund it as the law provides. These statutory rights exist alongside these terms and are not limited by them.
Discounts & gift cards
- Discount codes apply to the order total, cannot be combined unless we say so, and have no cash value.
- A code cannot be applied retroactively to an order already placed.
- Gift cards are valid for the period stated when issued, are not refundable for cash, and cannot be replaced if lost.
- We may withdraw a promotion at any time, and cancel orders where a code has clearly been misused.
Acceptable use
You agree not to misuse the store: no attempts to gain unauthorised access, no scraping or automated ordering, no interference with its security or operation, and nothing unlawful. Any review or message you send us may be published, and you confirm it is your own work and not unlawful or offensive.
Intellectual property
The name Megan & Sophie, our logo, product designs, photographs, text and the design of this store belong to us or our licensors. You may share and view our content for personal, non-commercial use; copying it for commercial purposes, reselling it or using it to promote another business is not permitted without our written consent.
Liability
We are responsible for loss you suffer that is a foreseeable result of our breaking these terms or failing to use reasonable care. We are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, for loss of profit or business, or for delays caused by events outside our reasonable control, such as carrier disruption, extreme weather or the acts of public authorities.
Nothing in these terms excludes or limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot be limited under Dutch law. Where liability can be limited, it is limited to the value of the order concerned.
Complaints
If something has gone wrong, email support@meganandsophie.com with your order number. We confirm every complaint within a few business days and aim to resolve it within fourteen days, telling you if we need longer.
Consumers in the EU can also use the European Commission’s online dispute resolution platform if we cannot reach a solution together.
Governing law
These terms are governed by Dutch law, and disputes fall to the competent courts of the Netherlands. If you are a consumer resident elsewhere in the EU, you keep the protection of the mandatory consumer law of your own country and may bring proceedings there.
If any provision of these terms turns out to be invalid, the rest stays in force. We may update these terms as our store or the law changes; the version published here when you place your order is the one that applies to it.
